Working with Pat, Joe, and their team exceeded all my expectations. They worked closely with me on my idea for an expanded deck with a new stair configuration, completing several designs as my needs expanded and formalized. I had an old deck that was falling apart. It was only a little bit off the ground, so they came out and were like, "Why not just get a patio?" I liked the look of a deck, so we went ahead with an estimate. They came back a few days later and found out that the original deck was never properly permitted and getting the paperwork done would nearly double the price. They then said they would be more than happy with a smaller job of dismantling the deck and building new steps that would lead down to a patio, like they suggested before. They were super honest, upfront, and transparent throughout the whole process and the quality of their work was superb. I cannot recommend them enough.

I was extremely impressed with the work that Pat and Joe did with my deck. It's beautiful and done exactly to our specifications. They step by step walked us through everything that would take place each day and were quick to answer any questions. I particularly liked that they included both myself and my wife in the deck planning. So often contractors will insist on only talking to me, as the man, so to include her as well made her very happy. Job well done.

I've worked with plenty of contractors before and Pat & Joe at South Coast Decks are second to none! Their professionalism from our first meeting throughout the entire project was always on display. We had the pleasure of working with South Coast Decks on a recent deck and side entry reconstruction project. From the very beginning of the project - design discussion and estimates - South Coast was hands on with suggesting color, materials and size and location of our new decks. The estimate was in line with the others we received, but it was their communication style, responsiveness and knowledge of working with Timber Tech materials that sold us on using them. Pat and Joe had an excellent set of inspiration materials and some tools to help a homeowner make design decisions. The project was started when they said it would be. The permit was in place months prior to the anticipated start date. Materials were delivered timely and neatly stored in our driveway, protected from the elements, in advance of them starting work. Pat and Joe worked with us to order the materials in advance of any possible tariffs going into effect, which we really appreciated. At the end of every day, we were sent a status update via text, including photos, which was really helpful. The job site was very well organized and was completely cleaned up at the end of every day. The project was completed on time (maybe even ahead of time), and we are so pleased with the results (photos coming!). Post-construction, South Coast checked in with us and came back for a final check. They followed up on punch list items almost immediately. These guys really know what they are doing! THEY DO NOT CUT CORNERS, and they stand by their work! If you are going to make a substantial investment in your home by replacing your decks, these are the guys you want!
